Funny use of mathematics! The first tips is, in my opinion, the most relevant. Show your real face on a dating web-site with every things that make you different. The 2 others tips are based on an idea that hapiness in couple is linked to marriage and you have to avoid divorce. In a sense when you end a relationship, you get lucky because you now have more informations about yourself. You know that what you have been through was not good for you. Avoid it in the futur!
ReplyDeleteMathematics are impressive, and may be used in unexpected fields such as maximising our chances to meet the right mate, and to avoid divorce. But I am not so sure that it is as easy to apply these tips in practice. As she explains, there are some situations that are not idealistic. However, I think it is a good way to show that mathematics can be apply to anything, and that we should not reject it.
ReplyDeleteI really like the ending comparison between the evolution of couple and nuclear war.
ReplyDeleteI believe that mathematics are really useful however not perfect. Thus, you can follow some tips (if there are proved of course) but you will never be sure of the end.
