How to Answer the 31 Most Common Interview Questions:
"Wouldn't it be great if you knew exactly what a hiring manager would be asking you in your next interview?
While we unfortunately can't read minds, we'll give you the next best thing: a list of the 31 most commonly asked interview questions (and, of course, some expert advice on how to answer them).
While we don't recommend having a canned response for every question (in fact, please don't), we do recommend spending some time getting comfortable with what you might be asked, what hiring managers are really looking for in your responses, and what it takes to show that you're the right man or woman for the job.
Consider this your interview study guide."

I am not really comfortable with interviews, nor with some particular questions for which I don't understand the purpose, such as "What are your three main weaknesses". The fact is you always have to be positive when you answer, and because you have to fit with a given profile, you try to conform to the expectations of the interviewer, without really knowing what there are. It could be very nasty, and somehow hypocritical.
ReplyDeleteThat is not the image I want to share with my future employer. That is why, even with this interview guide, I am still quite uncomfortable with these questions, even if I understand better the expectations of the company.
Answer to "What is your greatest professional achievement?" is helpful. I also like the answer to "Are you planning on having children?" but I don't think it really works.
I agree with you about the relevence of questions about your weaknesses or strengths. An interviews should be an exchange with the purpose to know you better and these kinds of questions doesn't give much informations.
DeleteAn other questions I like : "What important truth do very few people agree with you on?"
